Do This First!

Get a Map!
Your first stop in Branson should be for the sole purpose of getting the latest map. They are free and available just about anywhere. Every hotel offers them, usually right at the front desk. Many restaurants also have a supply. Of course, any tourist center will have maps and information, too.

Once you have your map, keep it handy at all times. (Of course, pull over if you need to study it!) Avoid the strip (Highway 76, also known as Country Music Boulevard) as much as possible between 7:00 and 8:00 p.m. and at 10:00 p.m. when shows are letting out. Use the color coded traffic relief routes and smaller side streets whenever possible.

Branson is a small town with lots of tourists. Be courteous, trust the map and don't be afraid to drive as fast as the posted speed limit. (Please.)
